HOT-footed youngsters got to dance the day away when an expert came to teach them the samba.
Samba specialist Nick Ledbury taught children at Meadows First School, in Stourbridge Road, the basics of the South American dance.
The reception children also created their own instruments and made costumes for a carnival procession where they will show off their newfound rhythmic skills to their mums and dads. Headteacher Pam Townsend said: "It provided the children with an exciting and vibrant means of exploring sounds and the opportunity to move rhythmically to music."
