TWO young musicians from Droitwich Spa have had the chance to play with a top brass band.
Jacob Jones and Laura Perkin, aged 11 and 12, were invited to perform a duet with Canada's Hamilton Band of the Salvation Army last Friday.
The pair, playing cornet and tenor horn respectively, took part in a classical medley with the 40-strong band during their concert at the town's Salvation Army, in Ombersley Way.
Jacob and Laura, who both attend the Spa church, received rapturous applause and were presented with Canadian flags, badges and a CD.
More than 200 people were at the event, which also featured professional cornet player Richard Marshall, of the Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band.
