DROITWICH Spa golf ace John Bickerton (pictured) finally has something to shout about after finishing joint 39th at the Deutsche Bank Open.
The 34-year-old professional, who had missed the cut in his previous seven tournaments, ended the four-day event on one over par and earned £13,000 in prize money.
He was three under after two rounds but carded a four over par in the next before signing off with a final round level par. South Africa's Trevor Immelman secured the title on 17 under par.
The result moves John up 16 places to 99th on the Volvo Order of Merit after 12 events.
His next tournament is the Volvo PGA Championship, which starts at Wentworth tomorrow (Thursday).
