ONE of the biggest margins of victories ever achieved at The Bottoms elevated Pershore to second place in Division One of the Worcestershire County League.
Lee Wilks took the individual honours with a swashbuckling century as Luctonians were put to the sword with the bat before being ripped apart with the ball as the hosts cruised to victory by 205 runs.
Having been asked to bat first on a good looking wicket, Stephen Cooper (34) and Liam Ridings added 71 before they were parted.
The latter stayed around long enough to witness Wilks' destruction of the visiting attack as the pair added 185 and helped the score race to a daunting 275-3 at the close.
Wilks was in commanding form and reached his half-century off 51 balls before upping the tempo and posting three figures just 27 deliveries later.
He was finally dismissed for a magnificent 133 that included four 6s and 20 4s. Ridings, meanwhile, was content o play an anchor role but his innings of 88 not out was a crucial one in the context of the afternoon's action.
Luctonians had had the stuffing knocked out of them and didn't seem to have the heart to face an all pace attack and an early finish was always on the cards.
Johnson and Oxley both claimed four victims, while Tom Bales snapped up the other two as the visitors slumped to 70 all out in the 23rd over.
Pershore's scheduled Worcestershire Clubs League clash with Barnt Green the next afternoon was conceded by the visitors leaving Saturday's winner to reflect on a double dose of weekend success.
There was more success on Monday when Wilks and Trevor Ridings both took three wickets as Martley were dismissed for 104 in the first round of the League Knockout. Pershore lost just three wickets in reaching their target.
