THE May meeting opened with a one-minute silence in remembrance of Joan Hooper, a former president who had recently passed away.
Barbara Parker was thanked for organising an excellent evening with Carl Chinn, which raised more than £300 for the Acorns Hospice. Beoley had won £25 in the supporters' club draw.
There will be a £2 admission for the June meeting organised by Di Larkham, with a speaker from ACWW on the Water for All project, followed by quizzes, games and refreshments.
An outing to Longleat Safari Park has been organised for Saturday July 10.
Ideas for next year's 75th birthday celebrations should be submitted to the committee.
The resolutions were discussed.
The evening ended with an American supper. The next meeting is on Tuesday, June 1, at Beoley Village Hall at 7.30pm.
