THE president's evening on May 14 was well attended. Essillt Thomas welcomed everybody and introduced the speaker for the evening, Nicole Burnett. Originally from Bridgend, she has a degree in history - design with art history.
She also has a post-graduate diploma and is a member of the Museum Association.
Her career has involved working in St Fagan's Folk Museum and the South Wales Police Museum. The topic of her talk was On the Bread Line, which concentrated on the way of life of the working classes during the late 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.
