There are thousands of applicants each year from which 300 are selected for interview and a final 48 are chosen as participants. Joe made the first of five applications in 1988 and appeared on the programme in 1994 with "The Life of Fred Karno" as his specialist subject - both his maternal grandparents were members of Fred Karno's troupe.
He subsequently appeared in a semi-final and then final of high-scoring losers with Don Bradman as his subject.
He is now a member of the Mastermind Club and is mentioned twice in Magnus Magnusson's memoirs.
At the meeting today at 2pm, the resolutions to be presented at the national AGM will be discussed.
