PRESIDENT Jenny Cox welcomed members, the speaker and two visitors to the May 12 meeting.
Birthday cards were given to Marion Collins and Jenny Simpson.
Jenny reported on a meeting she had attended regarding the reorganisation of the groups in the area. A satisfactory decision was not reached as some suggestions put forward meant some WIs would have to travel many miles to attend a particular meeting.
Ann Smith, co-ordinator, decided that further talks would have to take place and it was hoped for further information by July 31.
Treasurer Marion Collins confirmed to members there was a healthy balance in the bank.
The August outing will be a mystery tour, priced £4 per person.
Jenny Cox said she intended to run for Muscular Dystrophy and asked members if they would sponsor her in June.
Inkberrow WI hold an open evening on June 2 when the speaker will talk about Little Known Tales from the Tower of London.
A coffee morning for the seniors club takes place on June 5 at the home of Mr and Mrs Diamond at Flyford Flavell, 10.30am-noon. There will be a theatre outing to Worcester's Swan Theatre on June 15.
The speaker was Mrs Berrows, co-ordinator for the opening of private gardens for public enjoyment. She showed members a varied selection of slides showing gardens in Worcestershire.
Judy Smith won the competition for best lamb recipe and Ann Edger won the raffle.
At the July 14 meeting, there will be a talk about Life as a Toastmaster.
