CLUB captain Ian Smith enjoyed a profitable week with Welford.

Smith helped Roy Adams and John Wright to a rink victory in the Courier League match against Warwickshire County Council.

He then teamed up with M Adams, P Jones and ladies captain G Smith to score a six on the last end to give Welford a 66-59 win over Snitterfield.

Smith then teamed up with R Adams, S Duffin and N Clark to secure another victory, this time 21-14 against Pershore but it wasn't sufficient to earn another victory.

Veteran Ron Barnwell skipped his rink to victory against Entaco when a six on the eighth end helped their cause but again Welford found themselves on the wrong end of a 129-95 scoreline.
