SATURDAY proved to be a disappointing day all round for Stourport whose firsts could only muster 77 runs.
Entertaining Alvechurch and Hopwood on an excellent Walshes Meadow wicket, Stourport faced a daunting total of 234-8 from the visitors.
Ian Delo took 4-22 and Adam Sellick 3-77 but the villagers' impressive target was secured by contributions from I Rose (63), N Curtice (47), J Clifford (45) and N Jones (42).
In reply, Stourport had no answer to a powerful bowling attack and were rolled over in the 34th over for a meagre 77.
Reck caused the main damage with 5-23 and Powell took 3-21 as Alvechurch and Hopwood climbed to the top of the table.
The hosts took just three points and are struggling near the foot of the table with Wyre Forest rivals Kidderminster Victoria and Cookley.
Stourport travel to second-placed Belbroughton on Saturday and will need to improve considerably on their batting performances so far this season.
Bank Holiday Monday's derby clash at Cookley will be an important fixture for both sides.

Stourport seconds fared no better on their travels and were bowled out for 110 in the 32nd over after winning the toss and bowling out.
The only decent scores were from Bob Pittaway (26) and Vijay Patel (22), while C Batley claimed 5-24 for the home side.
Alvechurch and Hopwood's batsmen were never threatened and wrapped up the game in the 29th over for the loss of just one wicket.
J Spavin made 36 before K Payton (25 not out) and J Upton (30 not out) guided them home.
