NOT even floods could stop a Tenbury Youth Centre - which has just launched two new services.
Caf 27, in Teme Street was recently washed out after a plumbing problem meant water poured down the walls, through light fittings and covered the front room floor
area, soaking furniture and damaging some of it beyond repair.
Fortunately, computers in a back room and the office were unaffected and, after closing for only a few days, the centre was back in business to launch an after school club on June 7 for 10 to 13 year-olds.
There will also be free all-day care for 10 to 13 year-olds on Mondays and Thursdays during the six-week summer holidays.
Programmes of sport and leisure activities, plus access to all the caf's usual facilities will be available and a leaflet has been sent out to parents.
Transport can be arranged from schools and the club will be open from 3.30-6pm.
For more information, call Caf 27, on 01584 819000.
