SWIMMING: Robert Smith was the only Wyre Forest swimmer to pick up a speeding ticket in the Ross Diddy League's third round at Worcester.
Smith, 13, swam an excellent time in the 50 metre butterfly but did not receive any points due to competition rules.
Forest finished third but their previous gala wins put them fourth in the league table which guarantees a place in the final next month at Gloucester.
The gala, for nine to 13-year-olds, was graded, giving speeding tickets for competitors who exceeded a certain time.
Nine-year-old Olivia Ward and Alexa Fletcher, 13, took part in their first gala for the club.
The competition was close, particularly for second place, and Forest were narrowly beaten into third position.
Their swimmers recorded six first places and 22 seconds.
