THE biggest catfish recorded on the Gainsborough Lake at Shatterford Fishery was caught by a jubilant Barry Leworthy.
The giant, tempted by popped-up trout, hit the scales at 40lb 7oz for Leworthy, while a 37lb catfish and seven carp to 19lb 8oz fell to another angler.
Kidderminster's Anthony Worrall enjoyed success on the Wyre Dell with six rainbow trout to 2lb, using an orange fritz.
Two trout weighing 7lb fell on the Masters and, on the Stella Lake, a Birmingham angler reeled in five rainbow trout to 2lb.
On the coarse fishing front at the Erics, boilies were used to catch nine carp with the biggest a 26lb 8oz specimen.
Three catfish to 42lb 4oz and another weighing 37lb were landed with popped-up trout.
