ON Sunday May 9, volunteers joined forces with Redditch divers to provide 'safety river cover' for the charity fund raising raft race event organised by The Lions Club.
The Redditch club supervised the launch of the rafts at Arley and the first half of the race while Stourport divers used two of our club boats to cover the second half of the race and the tricky job of getting the competitors and their rafts safely out of the water at the finish.
Powerboat handling, diver coxswain, O2 admin, first aid and heartstart are just some of the additional skill courses available through Stourport Divers.
All new members receive free training and free loan of equipment during their basic scuba training, try-a-dive gift vouchers are available.
