TRAFFICKING of women and children, GM crops in the UK and Air Ambulance funding are the subjects of the resolutions to be heard at the AGM in Sheffield in June. At the May meeting, the discussions on these topics were led by Barbara Lees, Lynn Bowen, the AGM delegate, and Chris Marriott from Rock WI, followed by voting.
Many thanks to everyone who had arranged a successful Tea Party held at Clows Top Village Hall in aid of the Children's Stroke Association which raised £85.
On Monday June 14, an afternoon outing has been arranged to Home Lacey. A coach will leave Clows Top car park at 12noon, returning by 5pm. The outing to Highgrove House will be on Thursday June 24, leaving Clows Top at 9.10 am.
The next meeting in Mamble Village Hall will be on Monday July 12 at 7.30 pm, when the speaker will be Mrs E M Freeman on ribbon work.
