A WOMAN police constable was injured during a midday "parking dispute" in Bewdley town centre.
The officer was taken to Kidderminster Hospital with bruising after the incident near to the Guildhall in Load Street on Friday. She was discharged the same day.
Kidderminster police spokeswoman, Joanne Hammond, said: "She had her arm injured in a car door and her legs have been injured after the car hit her. It was over a parking dispute.
"She was shaken by it. It reinforces that these kind of incidents can happen anywhere and police are on the front line."
A 54-year-old Bewdley man was arrested and bailed on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. He will return to Kidderminster police station on June 4.
