WHEN children are little, the are taught to walk and talk. As they grow up, they are constantly told to sit down and shut up.
GEORGE COWLEY,
Worcester.
Poor George
HOW could Mrs Tipping be so unkind to poor old George Cowley? I greatly enjoy his letters.
They are usually either amusing or thought-provoking. I don't see Mrs Tipping often making a splash in your letters page.
MISS MARY COOK,
Worcester.
I say tut, tut Mrs T
TUT, tut Mrs L J Tipping ("Shut it George, You Say, Wednesday, May 18).
You may not enjoy Mr Cowley's contributions, but I do. In fact, I always scan the page for his input first before reading any of the other letters.
You don't have to read them you know, his letters are clearly marked with his name in bold type and, from what I can see, nicely fit a small gap which might otherwise be left vacant.
RUBY ADAMS, Worcester.
