A LOTTERY-funded environmental project aimed at uniting key community groups to reduce waste has been opened.
The Worcestershire Resource Exchange (WRE) aims to help schools, community groups and businesses in the county to work together to reduce waste and save money by using clean industrial waste in art and craft projects.
The lottery's SEED programme and the Severn Waste Environment Fund have funded the project.
Alison Hatton, the project's co-ordinator, said: "The Worcestershire Resource Exchange is an Aladdin's cave packed full of weird and wonderful resources including card, fabrics, tubing, plastic sheets, nylon curtain and a huge selection of other art materials.
Any group who would like details on membership should call the WRE on 01905 726796.
