MEDIEVAL men and women will be setting up an authentic 15th century-style camp at Hartlebury Castle this bank holiday weekend and visitors to the historic landmark will be able to witness everyday life during the time of The Wars of the Roses.
Sir William Gascoigne's Fellowship will return to the castle and pitch their tents on the site of the medieval moat that once encircled the castle as part of an event called Serfing For All, which will take place on Sunday and Monday from 11am until 5pm.
Longbow archery and other military skills will be on show in Moat Meadow, while brewing and pewtering are just a couple of the activities taking place elsewhere in the camp.
The medieval fun will continue from Tuesday until Friday, June 4, as well, with a Medieval Medley including displays of spinning, money stamping and painting.
An Elizabethan muse will also be playing music and dance in the historic landmark's great hall on Tuesday.
More information and tickets for the events can be obtained by calling the popular tourist attraction on 01299 250416.
