FOUR youngsters who will lead the procession in this year's Salford Priors fete have been chosen at a junior disco.
Anthony Jeffery and Gemma Knight were chosen as the Prince and Princess of the fete and Macaulay King and Bethany Hunt will act as attendants.
The four were picked from hopefuls who attended a disco in Salford Priors Memorial Hall last Saturday.
They will lead a procession from the village hall to the fete on the playing fields for the fancy dress competition at the start of the event on Saturday, June 12.
The fete will be opened at 2pm by former Stratford mayor Cyril Bennis and will include a dog show, brass band, balloon race, dancing and karate displays, a helicopter, tombola, barbecue and bouncy castle.
In the evening there will be free family entertainment with live music, a licensed bar, kebabs and a firework display. All money raised at this year's event will go to the County Air Ambulance.
