IT was confusing times for beer lovers in Worcester, when publicans attending their annual trade fair were met with an alcohol-free-zone.
Luckily landlords arriving at the Licensed Victuallers' Association event were not put off by the warnings, and arrived at Worcester Rugby's Sixways ground to sample the latest tipples on offer.
It is the third year running that the LVA, the body which represents landlords and the pub industry, has held the conference at the ground.
"I've not noticed the sign itself, but I'm sure it's caused a few laughs," said an LVA spokesman.
"This year's event was really well attended Landlords could see everything from dishwashers and beer equipment to the latest drinks and bar products on offer."
The sign is near Worcester Bridge, outside the Old Rectifying House.
