FOR the second consecutive week, Upton have come from behind to grab a draw in tense, physically committed affairs.

Captain Huw Williams, making his first start of the season after recovering from a knee injury said of Upton's performance: "We are now beginning to realise some effective, although not necessarily attractive rugby, by matching our physical commitment to our strength of belief. Worcester maybe had the edge in fitness, but courage and a never say die attitude came through for us today."

Wanderers started the stronger, their pack disrupting Upton's set pieces, and took the lead following a charged down kick and some skilful dribbling shortly followed by a second try from a turned over ball.

Upton's forwards began to gain parity and then the front row of Whiteman, Slocombe and Daniels began to gain superiority, with the awesome Paul Williams and Morton at lock driving relentlessly.

Huw Williams ran through to score before the break. Drury converted and soon slotted a penalty to level the scores at half-time.

Wanderers upped the pace and scored two quick tries leaving Upton floundering.

Good clean ball from Upton's determined pack allowed Huw Williams to go over in the corner and Drury converted. An inspired Upton then saw Steve Hill race in and Drury convert to level the scores at full time.

The same application is required tomorrow (Saturday) at Luctonians.
