DESPITE predicted wet weather, hundreds of Worcestershire motorists are expected to head to Wales and the West Country this weekend, which AA Roadwatch predicts will be one of the busiest for the year.
On top of normal traffic, people will also be taking advantage of the week's holiday for school half- term and sporting events are set to cause further disruption.
Over the weekend more than 210,000 are expected to travel to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium for play off finals and another 80,000 people likely to drive to Newquay for the Run to the Sun VW Festival, a custom car event.
On Saturday, Crystal Palace and West Ham supporters will be travelling from London to Cardiff for the division one play off final, causing extra congestion on the M4.
On Sunday routes from Brighton and Bristol, to Cardiff, are likely to be busy with the division two play off.
And on Monday the M5 and M42 will see Mansfield Town and Huddersfield Town supporters adding to the usual traffic for their division three match at Cardiff.
