HEREFORD United will be keeping a close eye on developments regarding Gavin Williams at Yeovil Town.

The former Bulls ace is reportedly a target for several clubs including Hull City who have been linked with a £75,000 move for the player.

Huddersfield Town and Doncaster Rovers are also said to have offered £100,000 for the Welshman which will be good news for the Bulls who stand to receive 25 per cent of any transfer.

Meanwhile, Andy Tretton might be able to use up his one match ban, picked up for his red card against Aldershot, before the start of the Nationwide Conference campaign.

Hereford's involvement in the newly formatted Herefordshire Football Association Senior Cup means their clash with Wellington on August 7 could count as a competitive fixture.

The new competition will replace the 'arranged final' which has taken place in recent years.

Last season Forest Green Rovers were invited to oppose Hereford United in the final which the Bulls won 3-1.

Teams lined up for competition alongside Hereford include Wellington, Pegasus Juniors, Bromyard Town, Hinton, Westfields, Kington Town and Ledbury Town.

Third Division Wrexham have been lined up for a pre-season friendly on Saturday, July 31.

Premiership-bound West Bromwhich Albion have revealed that they plan to send a largely reserve team to Edgar Street for their friendly match on Wednesday, August 4.

However both Swansea City and Bristol City are expected to bring a strong squad for their respective visits on Saturday, July 24 and Tuesday, July 27.

Season tickets continue to sell well with the Edgar Streetclub reporting sales of £40,000 to date.
