THIS is the last time I intend writing on the subject of the dilapidated Christopher Whitehead High School.
As an old girl of "Chrissies" I am naturally conscious that the school should flourish and continue to provide a first-class education for young people over generations to come.
However, I was also born in St John's and therefore have a loyalty towards St John's in general - and, in particular, to the local traders some of whom have been there for many years.
Sainsbury's is the ideal choice for a supermarket in St John's. Their requested site would be next to local shops and with careful planning could form a shopping complex which would be acceptable to all concerned.
I am sure an alternative site could be found for Tesco to build on. In a place the size of St John's there is not any need for two supermarkets.
This debate has been going on long enough. I am sure both Tesco and Sainsbury's, together with the council, have the education of our children at heart.
Perhaps they could all agree jointly to finance the new school, which is obviously so urgently needed.

Worcester.
