A GUIDED tour of "Elgar Country" is on offer on Thursday for music lovers who want to know more about Worcestershire's most famous son.
The cradle-to-grave route includes Sir Edward Elgar's birthplace museum, in Lower Broadheath, the Malvern Hills and St Wulstan's Church, in Malvern, where the great composer and his family are buried.
Bookings for the trip - to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the composer's death - can be made at Worcester's Tourist Information Centre on 01905 726311.
Tickets are £12 and the trip begins at 10.30am at the Elgar statue, by the cathedral roundabout. The tour ends at 4.30pm at the same place.
The following day, Friday, June 4, an Elgar Walk gives fans the chance to explore the composer's "favourite homes and haunts" in Worcester.
Booking can again be made at the city's tourist information centre or through Worcester Walks on 07890 222117.
