A COUPLE who found love in the lonely hearts column of the Evening News tied the knot with their wedding this weekend.

Like many people with children, busy jobs and hectic lifestyles, Tina Tyrrell and Andrew Small found it hard to make time for dates.

It prompted 40-year-old carpenter Andy to place an advert in Two's Company. His future wife replied and they have been together for seven years.

The Barbourne couple married at St John's Church, Bromyard Road, Worcester, on Saturday and are now planning a family holiday to the Isle of Wight.

Canon Ruth Wintle, who took the service said it was a lovely day for the couple to have shared.

The bridesmaids were all dressed in gold and looking really beautiful. It was attended by family and a few close friends, she said.

It was during the Christmas break that they announced their decision to marry.

They celebrated during the evening at the Coppertops pub, Oldbury Road, St John's, Worcester, with more than 150 friends and family members.

Thirty-six-year-old Tina, who works at the Co-op in St John's, said she was full of praise for Two's Company.

When you are at home with children, and have busy jobs, it isn't easy to go out all the time and meet people. So it just shows you that something like this service does work, she said.

The couple will be going on holiday with their six children, Sarah and Tasha from Andy's first marriage and Charlotte, Danielle, Andrew and Marc from Tina's first marriage. The couple are then thinking of having a romantic break together in England later this year.
