"THE results were poor and the lap times were poor but it was great" said overjoyed Winyates Green rider Andy Burbidge after a weekend at Brands Hatch.
Burbidge, who was in two minds whether to race after a poor run of results, got back in the saddle and managed a 7th, 8th and 9th in three of the four races at the weekend.
"The bike ran great all weekend," said Burbidge.
"The only downside was not having the funds for any new tyres. It sounds amateurish but it's as simple as that and obviously this effected the lap times," he added.
The rider will now have a break from action for three weeks until the next race in the Bemsee 250 GP at Pembrey, Wales.
Burbidge added: "It's a welcome break, it means I can get some money together and really have a go at a top three spot.
"A win would be just out of reach."
