PRESENTERS at Pulse Radio donned 'Carry On' clobber to celebrate the radio's re-launch at the Alexandra Hospital.

Last Saturday radio volunteers, dressed as doctors and nurses from the funny films, stormed the hospital for 12 hours to take dedications from staff and patients.

The radio was able to re-launch in style with a brand new set of equipment after receiving a £1,000 cash injection from Transco and money from the John Bernie Trust.

Press and publicity officer Mel Rodrigues said the radio team was 'shifting up a gear' and altering its focus to suit the needs of its listeners.

"We chose the 'Carry On' theme to show Pulse Radio is continuing, but adopting a different style," she said.

"We will be playing music from all different eras and holding 'Sound Nuggets' - little snippets of information."

She added the resource, free to hospital patients, aimed to gain a stream of dedicated listeners by providing something for everyone.
