LONG-serving social care staff from Redditch were rewarded for their dedication at a special ceremony at County Hall last Wednesday.
Jennie Bashforth, director of social services, presented commemorative plates to Diane Marshall, social worker, Simon Streather, manager, Linda Hipkiss, team manager, Susan Goode, social worker, and Mary Bonsen, team manager.
Between them, they have clocked up more than 125 years of continuous service.
Each recipient, including others from Worcester, Malvern, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Kidderminster, has each notched up more than a quarter of a century in social care.
Miss Bashforth said: "I am delighted to be able to present awards to these loyal and committed members of staff.
"Their work often goes unseen but this is our opportunity to acknowledge our valued staff.
"I have personally thanked them for their hard work, professionalism and dedication.
"The commitment displayed in their role has improved the quality of life for people throughout the county."
