THE club's senior players have been in fine form during a hectic couple of weeks.
They completed a rare double over their arch rivals from The Vale Golf and Country Club, while section members competed in two domestic events - the Ray Till Tankards and Wychavon Cup.
Visitors Bransford Golf and Country Club were the first to suffer at the hands of the Eve-sham squad.
The hosts ran out convincing 5.5-1.5 winners thanks to wins from D Lambert and O Gale, K Hardacre and H Homer, P Gilbert and B Tomkins, F Flack and P Angelbeck and R Smart and W Fowler.
P Clements and B Chapman halved their match.
A visit to the Vale produced a 4-3 success after the pairings of D Lambert and K Hardacre and G Pulfer and R Smart had given Evesham a flying start.
The Vale hit back with three wins to lead 3-2 leaving their visitors to win the last two matches to snatch victory. That they did as P Gilbert and D Bott won 4 and 2 but only a win on the final hole split the teams as E Pike and K Brown edged a one up success.
E Pike and D Bott's outstanding score of +3 proved unbeatable in the Ray Till Tankards, a greensome bogey competition, on a day when no other pairing managed to beat par.
A score of -1 earned P Gil-bert and G Ricketts the runners-up spot with I Cooper and W Fowler in third a further shot adrift (-2).
T Nottingham and B Tom-kins won the Wychavon Cup with a net score of 69. N Lid-dle and J Bomford took second spot after a score of 72 proved enough to overcome K Hard-acre and R Philpotts on a countback.
A trip of a lifetime awaits amateur Dan Haines and his Evesham PGA professional Dan Cummins if they can come through the next stage of Europe's biggest pro-am competition.
Haines took his first big step towards a luxury five-day trip to one of Europe's leading courses, San Lorenzo in Portugal, when he won the club qualifying competition with a net score of 70.
He and Cummins now advance to the regional final on Thursday, June 24 at Whittington Heath Golf Club, where they will play one round of betterball medal play.
The winners of 16 regional finals throughout Great Britain and Ireland will enjoy an expenses paid luxury trip to the Algarve between Septe-mber 3 and 7.
