A HOT footed dancing queen from Bromsgrove has scooped a prestigious trophy.
Jodie Young wowed the judges at a dance festival in Liverpool and was awarded first place in the youth category of the solo freestyle event.
"I am absolutely delighted for her," said mum Sue, of Papworth Drive.
Jodie, now aged 16, has been dancing since the age of four and is a pupil at Steptoes Dance School in Halesowen. She is proficient in freestyle, hip-hop and street as well as jazz and contemporary.
The former North Bromsgrove High School student is now studying dance and performing arts at Stratford-upon-Avon College. She has recently starred in the college's production of The Journey.
"One day she hopes to be a dance choreographer," added Sue.
