OUR May meeting took the form of an outing and a good number set off in fine spirits for the journey to Janet Miller's home and nurseries, in Cutnall Green.
Here we were welcomed by Janet in good form, giving us a splendid short talk and demonstration on simple floral arrangements. Also on the evening's programme was a talk by Mr Miller with most helpful advice on taking cuttings; then a tour of their lovely garden, and to complete the pleasure of the occasion, a supper of home-cooked ham or salmon, finishing with trifle and coffee.
We meet this month on Tuesday, June 8 at 7.30pm in the village hall. Demonstrator Roz Freeman's subject will be Countries of the World. The competition will be Come to the Fair.
