AN energetic Spa man put his best foot forward to raise much-needed cash for charity.
Chairman of Worcestershire Victim Support Group, Mel Nock, joined 19 other staff for the mini marathon at Lake Vyrnwy, in Wales last month.
With less money being allocated to the charity this year, the group decided to don their walking boots to raise around £3,000 for Victim Support.
Mr Nock, of Littleton Road, was keen to raise awareness of the charity, which helps victims of crime.
He said: "I trained for the twelve-mile mini marathon by using the treadmill at the gym since December.
"Everyone finished the event and I was delighted, if not a little surprised, at the amount of money we managed to raise."
