A JUNIOR swimmer from Bromsgrove has made a splash by winning a national title.
Luke Ladbrooke (pictured), aged 13, won the U13s 50-metres backstroke crown on behalf of Bromsgrove Preparatory School at the Incorporated Association of Preparatory Schools boys national swimming finals.
Luke, who broke his own school record in the process, missed out on the championship record by just two tenths of a second at the event at Millfield School, in Somerset, on Saturday, May 22.
Two other boys from the Conway Road school competed in individual events, with Luke's brother Max in the U10s 25m butterfly and Charlie Venner in the U10s 25m backstroke.
Venner just missed out on a medal, finishing fourth in his final after sitting second until the last four metres.
