SCHOOL pupils donned period costume to barge their way from Tardebigge to Alvechurch yesterday morning.
As part of their project on the history of canals, and with the help of Alvechurch Waterway Holidays, children from Tardebigge First School enjoyed a canal boat cruise dressed as nineteenth century canal workers.
Edward Helps, who has provided the boats for the last two years, said pupils' work always improved dramatically as a result of the trip.
