THE performance of Haydn's Creation on May 22 went well. Soloists Katie Leaver, soprano; Sean Clayton, tenor and Andrew Griffiths, bass and the orchestra were splendid.
Members of the public interested in classical works should note the society's anniversary concert on December 4 at St Stephen's Church when musical director Alma Bright, who founded the choir 40 years ago, will again conduct Handel's Messiah, which was the first work Redditch Choral Society performed.
Previous choir members are welcome to call the society on 550086 or 524118 and join in the celebrations. Rehearsals take place every Wednesday evening from 7.45-9.30pm at the Methodist Church Hall, Alcester Street.
