A BUSY itinerary of three games in six days looked like providing nothing but doom and gloom for Broadway's ladies.

However, after losing out to Littleton in the Concorde Lea-gue match, Broadway found their form to record a 4-0 Top Club competition victory and inflict revenge on Littleton after overcoming Bredon in the league.

Joan Clarke led the way with a 21-18 defeat of Littleton's Angela Cotton in the four-discipline event.

Further wins in the pairs, triples and rinks followed to secure a visit to Kiddermin-ster's Gilt Edge club in the next round.

Littleton won two of the four rinks on their league visit to Broadway when they had just two shots to spare after a thrilling climax.

The result was in doubt right until the final wood from Bridget Cresswell that took out a home winner and turn a deficit into a crucial three-shot win.

Last Saturday's Concorde clash with Bredon was another closely-fought contest when again the rinks were shared.

However, wins on the final end on both winning rinks gave Broadway nine shots and ultimate victory by four.

Colin Cooper lost on the last end when Pat White pinched a double to win the game by one shot.

There was also a win for Richard Woodward, while Brian Clarke shared the spoils with Adrian Bolt.
