SCHOOL SHOW: Dunnington School staged a musical evening performed by the children, in conjunction with Stop Listen and Play, a children's university module. The children performed with the visiting musicians English Seranata, who perform in many venues with celebrities such as John Nettles, David Jacobs and Richard Baker. The story was titled Latabes Dream, about an elephant who travelled and met many animals, which were depicted by the children. The musicians performed ably on many instruments including musical saucepans. The children of Dunnington School have adopted an elephant of their own at West Midland Safari Park.
POKER STAR: William Shervington, who spent most of his childhood in Dunnington, performed with distinction in the world poker championships in the USA.
