POOCHES will be putting their best paws forward when they line up for a heat of the RSPCA Dog of the Year competition at Button Oak, near Bewdley.
The competition, for mongrels, will be part of the Kidderminster and District Fun Dog Show, Fete and Craft Fair being held at Heathfield Boarding Kennels on Sunday, June 13.
Qualities being sought in the winner will include a loving relationship with their owner as well as a great personality.
Entries will be taken from 9.30am on the day, with the show opening at 10.30am.
Other show classes with titles up for grabs are best puppy, waggiest tail, best Heinz 57, best rescue dog/bitch and best veteran.
Attractions also include agility displays, birds of prey, a puppet theatre, Tarot and palm readings.
There are 100 heats of the RSPCA Dog of the Year competition, with the final being held at Dorrington, near Shrewsbury, in September.
