WALK TO SCHOOL WEEK: The week seemed to get off to a good start in Bredon, with one parent at least walking from as far away as Westmancote with his young son. At a rough estimate, about half the children already walk to school on a regular basis and congestion in Church Street could be alleviated if more followed suit.
BREDON BELLS: There will be an opportunity for anyone interested in church bell-ringing when two taster evenings will be held at Bredon's Norton Church. These will be at 7.30pm on Wednesday, June 23 and Wednesday, July 7. The Rector, the Rev Matthew Baynes would be grateful to know members beforehand, on 01684 772237.
CAR BOOT SALE: The Friends of Bredon Hancocks First School will be holding a car boot sale on Bredon cricket ground on Sunday, June 13 from 2pm until 5pm. The charge will be £5 for a car, and £10 for a van. Refreshments will be available, and the cricket club bar will be open.
COFFEE AND CAKE: A coffee and cake morning will be held at 46, Queensmead on Saturday, June 19, 10am until noon, in aid of The Multiple Sclerosis Society.
