TOP scorer Richard Ball has been slapped on the transfer list in a shock move, just a week after seemingly committing his future to Stourport Swifts.
The striker bagged 22 goals for Swifts last season, despite spending a short time away from Walshes Meadow in an ill-fated move to Halesowen Town.
But now the hotshot, who is contracted for next season, has decided to chase the dollar, according to straight-talking boss Dave Titterton.
Ball will be available for a four-figure fee with Gresley, Sutton Coldfield and Bedworth already among those interested.
Titterton blasted: "We agreed a deal with Richard last Thursday but since then he thinks there is more money out there available for him.
"We're not prepared to give it to him so if he wants to stop then it will be under our financial platform.
"There will be a fee involved and I've already had a couple of offers. But unless we can agree anything with another club then as far as I'm concerned he's still a Stourport player."
Ball will not be the only exit ahead of Swifts' maiden Southern League Division One West campaign as long-serving defender Steve Ulfig has also left.
Titterton said the loss of Ulfig, who won the Midland Alliance title with Swifts after switching from Bromsgrove, was also for financial reasons.
And the manager said: "Steve's a good solid player who did well for me during the season but I don't think he's worth the money he's asking for at this level.
"We still have new signing Andy Jones, Dave Davies, Jay Powell and Craig Webb who can all play centre-half, while we are trying to retain left-back Bryan Small who has been moving house recently.
"Chris Childs has also signed and there will be six or seven new faces. There's plenty of players out there willing to play."
Titterton is continuing to hold his Thursday evening meetings with current players and potential new signings.
