A CHADDESLEY Corbett pub landlord and four of his regulars will be having a drop with a difference when they take part in a sponsored parachute jump.
James Wood, host of the Fox Inn, will be down in one when he carries out the tandem jump near Nottingham on Saturday.
The pub customers accompanying Mr Wood on the jump - in aid of the Parkinsons disease charity - are Michael Bonnell, Phil Rowberry, Wes Painter and Cordelia Draper.
Although it will be a first for the pub-going quartet, Mr Wood will be making his second jump. On the previous occasion, he stepped out of an aircraft at 5,000 feet. This time, the height the participants will descend from will be 10,000 feet.
"I'm more nervous this time than I was last time," Mr Wood admitted but explained that the fund-raisers had chosen their nominated charity as Parkinsons disease seemed to be afflicting an increasing number of victims.
