LIFESAVERS have been given the opportunity to have their good deeds recognised through a gala awards dinner, which features the chance to meet Tony Blair.
The Vodafone Life Savers Awards honours Britain's most inspiring rescue stories. They are open to anyone who has helped save a life during the last two years.
The unsung heroes can either be a member of the public, or be working for one of the emergency services, where crews can be nominated.
Those chosen will be invited to 10 Downing Street to be personally congratulated by Prime Minister Tony Blair. This will be followed by an annual gala luncheon at London's Savoy hotel. A 300 strong star-studded audience will attend the event.
Anyone with a lifesaving story to tell should contact the organisers on 0870 9023333. Entries must be in by Friday, June 25.
