IT is any wonder that we are cynical about our politicians.

As each day passes we are becoming more deeply embroiled in a war that most of us were strongly against starting. In order to deviate attention and to placate backbenchers like Tony Banks and Michael Foster, Mr Blair is about to focus his attention on another bill to ban hunting.

No independent report has ever concluded that fox hunting should be banned. Come on Tony, get your facts right this time. Leave hunting alone and concentrate on sorting out the mess you have got us into.
