THE committee of the North Cotswold Branch of the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association would like to thank all those who supported their flag day in Moreton-in-Marsh, when £226.83 was collected.
With ever-rising prices, the cost of breeding and training guide dogs and veterinary care during their working lives is now equivalent to £10 per day for each dog involved in the scheme. The association, whose work contributes so much to the confidence and dignity of those who are visually impaired, meets these expenses entirely by donations and legacies.
DOROTHY WHITE, Hon Treasurer, The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association, Ebrington.
