RESIDENTS in Worcestershire still have time to get wet and wild and raise cash to help a charity build a hospice for life-limited children in Worcestershire.
Ten teams have already signed up for an It's A Knockout competition, being organised in aid of Acorns Children's Hospice Trust.
The charity is currently campaigning to raise the final £1.3m of the £4m needed to complete the building of a new hospice, currently being built in Bath Road, Worcester.
The hospice will provide care and support for more than 250 children from Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire, who are so ill they are not expected to live to adulthood.
The It's A Knockout competition is being held at Worcester Rugby Club on Sunday, July 4 - and there is still a chance to sign up and join in the fun.
Samba band
Acorns spokeswoman Jessica Forester said: "A Brazilian samba band will kick-off the entertainment at midday and there will be inflatables, a rodeo bull, a bungy run and coconut shy for spectators who want a piece of the action.
"Children will be well catered for too, with a bouncy castle, a roundabout, pony rides, face painting and a sweet stall as well as fund-raising stalls and a craft stall.
"An awards ceremony will round off the day at 4pm and there will be great prizes for the winners and the best fund-raisers."
Teams of 10 are still welcome to join in - each team needs to raise a minimum sponsorship of £500.
