PAINTINGS which capture fleeting, beautiful moments of light on the landscape feature in a new Malvern exhibition.
Watercolours, oils and pastels by Worcester-based artist Linda Judkins went on show in the Malvern Hills Gallery this week, and will continue to be on display until June 23.
A hobby artist for many years while she brought up her children and worked in social care, Mrs Judkins now devotes her time solely to her art.
While she never studied art in a degree, she did attend the now retired Roy Jones' classes at Malvern Hills College for nigh on 20 years.
There she learned how to use sketches, memory and photographs to create landscape studies before tackling a subject in oil.
"I like painting most fleeting light moments on an open landscape. They have a dramatic impact on the landscape - something like a sunset or dawn or a moon," she said.
The gallery, at 1 Worcester Road, is open Monday to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.
