ROB Wood, now racing as a member of the Lucracing team, won the Velo Club Sevale's 12-mile hilly time trial in the impressive time of 33mins 59secs, beating promoting club member Brian Boswell by the close margin of 16secs.
Supervet Mike Amery provided a personal best ride of 34mins 59secs for third place. Regular club run rider Eric Gorton made a come back ride of 43mins 40secs, not bad for his first race for 18 years.
The full results were: 1 R Wood 33.59, 2 B Boswell 34.16, 3 M Amery 34.59, 4 S O'Toole 38.56, 5 T Knight 40.43, 6 J Sharrock 41.26, 7 S Price 41.33, 8 E Gorton 43.40.
The next event is a 10 mile time trial on Thursday, (June 10) starting at 7-30pm and using the Chance Lane course.
