MALVERN entertained Astwood Bank in a Bank Holiday Monday league fixture and came away without a point after a feeble batting display.
MALVERN v ASTWOOD BANK
Malvern were reduced to 13-3, Mark Baugh and Rob Francis put on 22 before Francis unluckily dragged a ball on.
Paul Young looked in good form before he lifted a ball behind. Baugh continued his good early season form until he was run out for 27 and Steve Carter's confident innings was controversially ended for 16 but Malvern's total of 119 was a very poor effort.
Neil Thompson claimed an early wicket but the visitors made light work of chasing their target, getting there in the 26th over.
Tomorrow (Saturday) Malvern entertain Stourport at Regency Road.
